Hey! For this week’s featured video, you can see my real estate side come out a little – I love buying and selling homes here in Northern Virginia and when given the opportunity to check out construction at the new Virginia Crossing development, I jumped at the chance.

For those of you who are new, I’m Lesley Salman, owner of Salman Home Realty and your host of Going Gainesville, a Facebook page (http://bit.ly/GoingGainesvilleFB) and website (http://bit.ly/GoingGainesville) that features the “about town” in Gainesville, Haymarket, and surrounding areas.

I’m joined by co-host and loan expert, Joe Brown with Calibur Home Loans who is also our video sponsor and a regular guest on our featured videos!

We’re joined today by Stacey Kessinger who is the Vice President of Virginia Crossings as she digs up the dirt (construction puns – I promise they get better) on this new development.

Virginia Crossings is one of the last remaining places to buy new construction in our area. They’re bringing in some of the locally large builders and developers – Ryan Homes who will be building in The Knoll featuring quarter-acre home sites, as well as Drees Homes and NV Homes on half-acre home sites.

The entire community is comprised of only single-family homes The much-anticipated opening of the model homes will happen once construction on Summerset Crossing Drive is completed. ETA on that is late November 2019 – so just around the corner.

The total number of new homes? Right around 200, and while they won’t be a pool on the property, management isn’t leaving new residents high and dry (there are my puns again). They’re working with a local country club to add amenities like a pool – both indoor and outdoor, family programming from holiday events to egg hunts.

What model homes can you expect? Ryan Homes will be building their Seneca Model (2,800 square feet) starting from the upper $500s. Drees will be swinging hammers on their Rowan Model (mid-3,000 square feet) and NV Homes will be building their Stratford Hall Model (mid-3,000 square feet) with both starting in the low to mid-700s.

So where’s this development located? In short terms – “conveniently.” Located right off Route 15 in Haymarket with easy access to 29 and 66, this location is killer.

Shopping? Wegmans is right up the road, downtown Haymarket is right down the road and Harris Teeter is just up 29. Historic Haymarket is only a mile away.

Not planning to move? You’re still going to benefit from traffic management. The new Summerset Crossing Drive will finish the connection from the already built Summerset Crossing Drive helping to alleviate congestion in the area.

Stacey – thanks so much for having us, we’re excited to see Haymarket grow with new homes, new businesses, and new opportunities put
