We sat down with the owner, Barbara Diebus, to learn a little more about this eclectic local shop.
Details for the Home is ironically located in a converted historic home! And if you’re anything like me, you’ve probably driven by this place a million times wondering what’s behind the front door. I’m here to tell ya.

Her inspiration? 17 years ago, Barbara and her next-door neighbor decided to start a business together. Decades have passed and the shop has gone through a few iterations allowing it to morph into its current selection focusing on the niche of both styling and jewelry.
Seventeen years later, and Barbara sees no sign of stopping – they constantly change to match styles, trends, and more. So what snagged them the place of “Best Of” in the jewelry category for Gainesville Haymarket Lifestyle Magazine for 2019?
“Our diverse selection” says Barbara who knows that not just one size and style fit all personalities. They also focus on the customers – texting photos to clients they know may love a new piece, helping husbands find gifts for their wives, and everything is gift-wrapped make the task of finding the perfect gift a breeze.
Barbara with the help of Sandy showed us a few examples of what they carry in the store. From beautiful pantsuits designed for low-maintenance glamor. Vicky featured a stunning jewelry set. And of course, I had to play dress up! Needless to say – loved it all, but what girl doesn’t like playing Barbie for a day!?
